Thanks to STIHL's constant power output, the blowing performance remains consistent from the start to the end of the battery charge, ensuring reliable results throughout the working day. It's quiet operation also makes it particularly well suited for inner‑city and noise‑sensitive environments, such as residential areas, parks and public spaces.
The BRA 200 can be operated with one or two STIHL AP batteries. It delivers its full performance with a single battery, while using two batteries allows the machine to automatically switch to the second battery once the first is depleted, extending working time without interruption. Users can also choose a single‑battery setup to reduce overall weight, with the blower weighing just 7.1 kg excluding battery. For longer working times, two AP batteries can be fitted, while still remaining lighter than a comparable petrol backpack blower.
Comfort over long working periods is ensured by the BRA 200's excellent weight distribution and padded, adjustable shoulder straps, which sit securely and evenly across the operator's back. Blowing power can be precisely adjusted using the variable throttle trigger, allowing the user to match performance to the task at hand. A boost function is available when maximum power is required for more stubborn or heavier material.
The BRA 200 also features a tool‑free, extendable blower tube, allowing easy adjustment to suit the working height and application. For storage and transport, the blower tube can be securely fixed using the integrated Velcro strap. Also available separately is the STIHL adjustable round nozzle - it's a 2-in-1 accessory that lets you easily switch between maximum air volume or maximum air speed when using your tool, to help remove leaves, lawn clippings and hedge trimmings.
